![]() ![]() Overheating is a major problem with gaming laptops, which often come with poor thermals and ineffective cooling. Just restore the settings to default, and your GPU will work normally again. A GPU can be overclocked from the BIOS, a third-party utility, or AMD’s own driver settings. Now depending on how you achieved the overclocking, the process to reverse it is going to differ. But if you have, it might be a good idea to disable it. Of course, this isn’t something that comes enabled by default, so you can skip this one if you haven’t overclocked your system. But in absence of proper cooling, it can lead to critical failures as well. Overclocking your processor – or your GPU – can boost performance beyond the stated limits. Some motherboards have a 4G decoding feature, which gives the GPU access to more memory. There are several games that I own on steam that I would love to play on the same tech, but can't do to restrictions place upon by the developer which requires Windows. Before you go installing a new BIOS version though, boot into the BIOS and take a look at its settings. My question is at this time, what is the best solution to actually achieve windows being installed on my steam deck, because say the moment I just have to wipe my microSD card every time because of the extraction or on an ISO through Rufus.Or is there another work around to actually get this process to work with a microSD.Īny end all assistance is greatly appreciated. ![]() I was initially able to install Windows under microSD card and then wipe my internal memory off my steam deck, but after wiping the memory card so many times due to pairs with Rufus. Not part of the problem is that I don't have a PC, so I have to do everything on my Mac through parallels. And I've tried this as well on Windows 11, but I get an error every time with a rufus. ![]() apparently after some time in June 2022, Windows stopped the windows to go option from being flashed onto a microSD card through Windows 10. Hey, I've been having issues installing windows to go on a Micro SD card, as well as forcing Rufus to create a Micro SD card because of an iso error message that the iso could not be extracted, I found a work around but that failed too because the drivers to run windows were missing. ![]()
